Breaking Down Barriers: What's Age Got to Do With It?

July 01, 2026

Huntington's Disease Youth Organization

HDYO has more information about HD available for young people, parents and professionals on our site:

www.hdyo.org

In the Huntington’s disease community, we often group people by demographics—especially age. But age is just one part of a much bigger picture. Every person’s experience is unique, shaped by their family, circumstances, challenges, and journey.

James O'Connor from the HDA and Grant Walker from SHA join Jenna Heilman from HDYO to talk about the complexities of age for support, education and awareness.

HDYO Breaking Down Barriers is sponsored by: uniQure, Ferrer, Prilenia, Neurocrine Biosciences, Teva Pharmaceutical, Skyhawk Therapeutics, Novartis, Wave Life Sciences, Roche, Alnylam and the Griffin Foundation.

Our content is split into different groups. Choose the group that best describes your needs for more information on HD.
