We are excited to partner with Factor-H to host the #HDCONNECT Latin American Retreat!

This retreat will offer young people (ages 18 to 30) from Latin America the opportunity to meet others impacted by HD and to learn about the disease through educational workshops and shared experiences. The retreat will combine traditional conference-style sessions with community-building activities in small groups.

This event is held in collaboration with Factor-H’s Latin American Conference on Huntington’s Disease

Goal - We aim for young people attending this retreat to benefit by feeling less isolated, more supported, as well coming away from this retreat with an improved understanding of HD and strong peer connections with other young people in similar situations. This will be a youth focused track that will run parallel to the Help 4 HD Symposium.

General Details

When: September 2, 2026 - Retreat attendees will be registered and invited to stay for Factor-H's Latin American Conference on HD, held September 3-4.

Where: Hotel Dann Carlton, Medellín, Colombia.

Who is eligible to apply? Young people aged 18 to 30 who are impacted by Huntington's disease* and reside in Latin America.

*A person is considered to be impacted by Huntington's disease if they are a gene carrier (gene-positive), are not a carrier (gene-negative), are at risk or have not undergone testing, or if they are a caregiver.
